March Photo a Day – 5. A Smile
The Queen Mouse’s smile. I wanted to take a picture of my niece’s smile, but she wanted to take a picture of me. Then, she said take a picture of the Queen. We have a picture of the Queen on a Mickey Mouse body saying “Look at me now!” It turned out great! This pic was taken with Camera 360′s LOMO – Light Cyan effect.

March Photo a Day – Day 4. Bedside
Here’s my bedside – Humidifier on my nightstand. Dream journal, pen, eye mask and little flashlight on the carpet.
I keep the dream journal handy if I want to record any cool dreams I’ve had. Flashlight is handy when it’s dark and I want some light fast. The eye mask is great when I can’t get to sleep.

From Above on my street.
I took a regular picture of my street. I applied the Funny – Above effect from Camera 360 to it and this is the result. Looks like it’s in a lake. I think it’s cool.

March Photo a Day – Day 2. Fruit
Bananas, Orange and a Lemon in a cool bowl.
I knew I wanted to feature bananas as the fruit in my next photo. I have three monkeys in my house, so it MADE sense! There’s a real bunch of bananas, two Papier-mâché bananas, a orange Papier-mâché and a lemon Papier-mâché. I got the Papier-mâché fruit from Michael’s. I thought making the bananas yellow and the only color made it pop out.. and made it the #1 fruit in the picture.

Hats above our dining table.
I looked up in the house to find something interesting to shoot. I love these hats and they would look great from a different angle. I used Camera 360 to capture this cool shot. It has some great effects for photos. It’s available for iOS and Android.

March Photo a Day
My friend posted that she was throwing a contest on Facebook for people to do the March Photo a Day run created by Fat Mum Slim. I love her name.. big fan of Fatboy Slim. I figured I’d give the contest a go since I’ve always wanted to do it, but never have for some reason. Also, I like to win contests! I have to get the most LIKEs on my Photo a Day pictures compared to anybody else. Looks like I may win since only two of us are playing.

Dream Recycled Travel Art
Sorry for the lack of art posts! I’ve been super busy planning my wedding. It’s a lot of work!! I understand why people hire wedding planners now.
My friend Andy got me interested in mailart. I bought a few things while traveling and started making mailart. This was a piece that I started on in India. I never finished it since it just didn’t feel finished. I call this Recycled Travel Art. I took old train tickets, luggage tags, Lonely Planet pages and travel magazines clippings and created art. It took me awhile, but I finally finished it.. and added a quote from a Morrissey song. Can you tell me which song?

Cabernet Ninja
I got my first mailart!! So excited! I did a happy dance when I got it. SERIOUSLY!!
Austin from IUOMA made a cool CD of music for me. He wrote a little note for me on this Bob Marley card.
Austin is a talented artist. He made this cool board with a ninja on one side and a Cabernet Sauvignon label and buttons on the other side.
How very cool!! I asked Austin how he made it, so I’m going to make a similar mailart.
